June 4th, 2016: Lynn Tait and open mic poets
Tiny Lynn Tait of Sarnia took the stage as featured poet for London Open Mic's last event of Season Four on June 1st 2016. A well-known talent to many in the audience, as she has been a favourite open mic reader during the past four years, Lynn may be a tiny woman, and even seemed tinier sitting in a chair on the stage, but she's fierce, and reads poetry that strikes out at us and demands she be taken seriously. Her reading strength, her poetic talent, and the liveliness of her poems captured and held the audience.
Read her interview and three poems.
Tait was followed by sixteen open mic readers, only six of whom were photographed before the camera's batteries went kaput. The others were F. Reilly, Alan Leangvan, Brittany Renaud, Stan Burfield, Andy Verboom, Shelly Harder, Wendi Waters, Rocco D'Alessandro, Rhonda Melanson and Paul Branton.
